Grid

Artist Statement | As a graphic designer, I place elements on a grid in order to define relationships. My objective is to create layouts that are clear, cohesive and compelling.

In the world, with my camera, my objective is the same. But instead, I search for my composition. Grids become geometric patterns organized by elements of form. Objects fall magically into place, a hierarchy is established, and secret relationships are revealed. Finding those relationships never fails to make me smile.

Grid is an ongoing series that focuses on the connection between my experience as a graphic designer and the way I see with the camera.
